We recommend that you keep a chart of tasks that need to be done and those you’ve already completed. Let’s break it down by week to keep your life easy. 

– Expect to remove debris, leaves and bugs from the skimmer basket, pool surface and pump about twice a week.

– Test twice a week to make sure the chlorine range is 1.0 to 3.0 ppm.

– Test the pH levels with a test kit or strips twice a week. The perfect range is 7.4 to 7.6.

– Add a small dose of algae preventer to custom pools each week to prevent a slimy green layer.

– You may need to shock your pool once a week during Jacksonville’s summer storm season. 

– Run the pool vacuum on the floors and a brush to the walls once a week. An automatic pool cleaner can take care of this for you.
